We love the WANT brothers and have been following their journey for as long as we can remember. Along the way we’ve not only had the privilege to meet both Byron and Dexter but have also celebrated their many successes such as the launch of their WANT Passport at Billy Bishop airport to their most recent opening of the WANT Apothecary boutique here in Toronto.
For those of you unfamiliar with the WANT Apothecary it first opened in Montreal in 2011 with the inspiration to reinstall the essence of the intimate and neighborly retail experience of a Bygone era. The WANT Apothecary stocks a selection of narrowly distributed yet highly desired international fashion brands, including Acne, Filippa K, Nudie Jeans, Arc’teryx Veilance, Maison Kitsuné and, naturally, WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie. A carefully edited array of beauty and body-care products including Aesop and Astier de Villatte rounds out this selective offering.
The same trusted retail concept was recaptured for the Toronto location with the help of Toronto-based architectural firm Drew Mandel Architects and interior designer Maria Rosa di Ioia of Idea Design. Its inviting interior is both warm and airy and features herringbone wood floors, Bianco Carrara marble and brushed copper details.
We welcome you to check them out at 1070 Yonge Street, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
