This boozy little cuke has crisp, clean flavor with a fizzy finish. Subtle sweetness and refreshing coolness make this the perfect warm weather cocktail.

This recipe is so simple, a novice bartender can throw it together while impressing their guests.

The Drunken Cucumber

  • 1 to 1 1/2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • 1/4 of a cucumber, peeled, seeded, and cubed
  • Ginger ale

In a pint glass muddle the cucumber and simple syrup. Add ice, lemon and bourbon. Shake or roll. Top with ginger ale and garnish with a cucumber slice.

Note: you may be tempted to eat your cucumber slice right away, resist. Let it pickle in the spirits and enjoy your drunken cucumber at the end.
