"Oh my gosh - my Jesus-loving, hippie parents used to wear those sandals all the time!"

Teva sandals, as insinuated by the most interesting comment I've received by far on my footwear choice, aren't typically what you'd deem as #fancyfootwork. And I wouldn't ordinarily wear them out to a cocktail party (unless that's what your heart desires). So why did I finally buckle down to the supposed 'ugly sandal trend'?

Because of comfort and nostalgia. They also happen to look very cool when paired with a mostly monotone and casual chic ensemble that is ideal for a day of errands or simply an outing to a museum, a nearby hike trail or brunch. By yourself. Just kidding.

Who wouldn't want to take a stroll around the marvelous Noguchi gardens and down memory lane at the same time? And it's a damn comfortable sandal - sometimes style and comfort can coexist peacefully with one another. Feel free to let me know your thoughts on that.
