If a majority of the suits you own are in grey, navy or black, then I recommend an often overlooked color – brown. Why you ask? Well it’s a rich, versatile color that stands out because it’s not as common as the other colors. Also, it’s dark enough to look distinguished in winter but light enough to rock in the brighter months.
There are also many different shades and tones of brown available and I find that, as a color, it helps to bring out and enrich the other colors you have in your look. It works well with any color (especially blues and greens) and is a color I think all guys should invest in.
A brown suit goes a long way. So, have an experiment with what kind of shades and tones you like – and on what piece – and then wear the hell out of it! Also, feel free to let me know what you think of brown suits and brown in general with a comment below.
