Dior and YSL headquarters and Avenue Montaigne were a stone throws away...

Dior and YSL headquarters and Avenue Montaigne were a stone throws away from our airbnb doorstep in Paris. Half a block the other way was the Grand and Petit Palais, complete with sweet gardens and classical music to escape to.

Built by 1900, the Grand Palais was a site to varied art exhibitions, horse shows and circus to a hospital in WWI, and then occupied by the Nazis in WWII. Most recently, it has been prime location for Chanel’s Paris Fashion Week show.

A show had just ended when we got there, and just as fast as they came, the fashion set disappeared to another location, leaving us behind to discover the wonders of the building..

I last wore this LL Bean sweater for its somewhat intended purpose: fishing and sailing on a boat. While I was getting ready for Paris, packing this was a no-brainer and I got a lot of mileage out of it during my trip since it matched with pretty much everything, ie. with black leather pants and all-black Birkenstocks.
