It's Summer—Why Not Wear Trunks as Shorts?

The Metro Man shares his go-to summer look: a lightweight windowpane check and a pair of trunks that do double duty as tailored shorts.

Sorry for being MIA for a minute. I’ve been traveling quite a bit (from St. Thomas to Paris to Randall’s Island) But, now that I’m back expect some summer inspiration to come your way. I shot this look at the Marriott Hotel in St. Thomas. (If there’s one place you should add to your bucket list, this is it). Oh, and plan a day trip to St. John’s where the color of the sea is the kind of blue that you dream a body of a ocean to be. So, the clothes, I got to custom make this lightweight windowpane shirt by Hamilton, and paired it with a pair of trunks by Orlebar Brown (because there’s nothing like wearing a pair of trunks as if they’re shorts). I know that black isn’t much of a summer color, but let me tell you in a little secret….there’s no such thing as owning too much black.
