Hi everyone! New York Fashion Week starts on September 4 and it will end on September 11. Debuting on the runway on the first day of NYFW after a three year hiatus is Perry Ellis under the new direction of Creative Director Michael Maccari.
The Spring 2015 collection is aptly titled “Changes and Horizontals,” which was inspired by Irish artist Sean Scully, known for his linear drawings and paintings. For his debut collection, Maccari is inspired by designer Perry Ellis himself – he went back to the archives and explored the legacy and designs that Mr. Ellis created. Consumers can expect a season-less dressing with unique patterns and fabrics that will compliment the overall silhouettes of the clothing. The classic staple pieces are re-introduced in a new and fresh approach, which he then used to create functional layering. Michael Maccari certainly doesn’t disappoint and this is truly a great debut!
