Hey, gidday mates! I’m excited to announce that I’m partnering with Superga on a series of posts this summer showcasing The People’s Shoes of Italy in a variety of looks. If you’ve been reading this bloggy wog for any length of time you might have noticed my predilection for canvas sneakers, but my sneaker colour palette typically runs the gamut from blue to white — with nothing in-between — so for my first effort I wanted to stretch myself a bit and try something new. Enter Superga’s Cotu Classic in Cerise (deep red) — the perfect pop of colour with an all-white-everything ensemble. Not bad, right?

A quick tip if you’re planning on rolling your jeans or khakis over your sneakers this summer — you want to roll them lower than your instincts might first tell you to do. If the front of your jeans are juuuust touching or just a tiny bit above the tongue of your sneaker, that’s the moneyspot. Any lower than that and you’ll get a break, which you don’t want; and any higher than that, and you’re going to be showing off way too much ankle and ain’t nobody got time for that.

I’m wearing: Old Soldier T-shirt; J.Crew 484 jeans; and Superga Cotu Classic sneakers in the Cerise colourway.
