PROJECT Las Vegas
GANT Fall 2014
It’s been a cuh-rayy-zee time so far at PROJECT Vegas and I’m loving every minute of it! Yesterday I stopped by the GANT (Gant Rugger & Gant By Michael Bastian too!) booth, one of my favorite brands, and talked to their super friendly team about the “revamp” of their namesake GANT label line.
In their words:
"GANT has always been a lifestyle—-our brand’s innovations have always been about living life first and getting dressed second. You see the evidence of the above in the collections you’re now seeing from a newly invigorated GANT Namesake label that debuted at Nordstrom for FW13. Of course, we continue to showcase the shirts that have long been in our bloodline, but we have not been afraid to express our heritage more legibly in the contemporary sportswear space. Details like wool flannel half-moon undercollars, ticket pockets, dual rear-side vents, working surgeon’s cuffs, roped shoulders—-true hallmarks of quality construction are consistently articulated by this voice of the brand. The details, consecutive with the care with which we choose our fabrics—-alpaca, mohair, madras—-as well as our treatments—-garment dyes, enzyme and sun-washes, set us apart and above others who have tried to design in the same terms."
Above is a look I created from the Fall 2014 collection featuring some of my favorite pieces. The double breasted blazer is by far the standout piece of the collection in my eyes and I can’t wait to see it available next fall! Be sure to check out more from GANT, Gant Rugger, and Gant By Michael Bastian on their website HERE.
