Even though, I hate all that “New Year, New Me” bullshit, here I am, writing about it in fashionable not obnoxious kind of way. Yes, I confess, I am one of those people who joins a health club at the beginning of the new year, just to drop off after a couple of months. I’m sorry, I just can’t help it; I really don’t like working out.
Whether I stay for a month, two or more that’s yet to be seen. However, the one thing I know for sure is I am going to look super groovy walking into that boot-camp class. Thanks to Original Penguin!
Original Penguin is well known for their vintage inspired clothes. – If you follow my Tumblr you know I’m OBSESSED with anything retro – for this reason, I couldn’t be more excited about their “Vintage Gym” Collection.
Inspired by the 1950’s, the collection is influenced by old high school gym attire with an up-to-date turn. Varsity jackets, sweatshirts and baseball shirts are presented in a gloomy palette of burgundy, navy and grey. Plus some gold detailing and typography: remarkably American College.
In addition, the collection includes pieces like tapered sweatpants and Oxford shirts to keep you looking sharp and preppy, which I’ll be sporting soon, keep coming back. To sum up, I’m diggin’ that designers are going into to past to modernize classic sportswear.
