Oliver Spencer’s inspiration for his SS15 collection was Mexican architect Luis Barragán (1902 – 1988). He was motivated by Barragán’s creative use of light, form and space that reflect the spirit of a location; emotional architecture,” connecting people, space and experience. From there, he created his own interpretation with a modern and experimental twist. Spencer also introduced new design – loose with a relaxed fit as well as dropped necklines which reference the artist’s smock and acknowledge a bohemian feel to the collection. Key pieces from this collection includes: Buffalo Jacket in suede and cotton, Tote Bags in suede, the Barragán shirt with exaggerated length and the introduction of a constructed jacket.
