Foot Locker Jordan 51st Birthday Drop

Sports apparel and footwear retailer Foot Locker is commemorating the 51st birthday of basketball legend Michael Jordan with a range of exclusive Nike Jordan trainers.

The collection is part of Foot Locker’s Approved Heat campaign, which sees the store going all out with its basketball offering – including over 100 new basketball trainer drops – for the duration of February.

Among the collection of six shoes are three styles exclusive to Foot Locker.

The first is the Nike Jordan 1 Flight Strap in black/infrared, which features a leather and synthetic upper with breathable perforated toe section and fastening strap. Nike’s Air Bag in the cupsole enhances cushioning, while the rubber outsole is designed to provide extra flexibility.

The second, the Jordan SC3 in white/navy/red, is a mixture of classic Air Jordan styles. Support and responsiveness is found with the Phylon midsole and Air Sole unit in the heel.

Jordan’s True Flight in black/grey/gym red is the final Foot Locker-only offering, boasting a leather and Durabuk upper and full-length Air Sole unit for performance and comfort.

The collection is rounded out by a further three variations of this iconic silhouette: the Nike Air Jordan 10 Retro in white/DK powder blue, the Nike Air Jordan 6 Retro in white/infrared and the Nike Air Jordan XX8 SE in gym red.

Jordan is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century. The former Chicago Bulls star’s brand is believed to generate well over $1bn in annual sales for Nike.

Several of the pieces from the range are already available to buy in store and online, with the remaining releases to follow until the final shoe in the collection, the Air Jordan XX8 SE, drops on March 1st.
