Tight, fitted clothing with a rebellious edge mark the Maison Kitsuné Spring/Summer 2014 Menswear Collection, thus bringing to mind the spirit of iconic bad boys James Dean and Elvis Presley. From three-piece suits in all black, to a green checkered shorts ensemble, to the basic uniform of denim pants paired with a blue cardigan, the collection is the perfect sartorial example of simple and clean . Shirts from the collection were notably more feminine with rounded collars, but maintained their masculine identity with boxy tailoring at the torso. A handful of looks sport stripes, flannel, and checkered patterns to a visually nostalgic appeal. Of the batch, we were most smitten with the beige blazer and pants set that was accented with white piping and the vintage bowling jacket with the brands name lettered across the back. By imbuing whimsical details into functional, everyday wear, Maison Kitsuné has created its most playful wardrobe yet.
