Spring has sprung, and while for some of us that means pollen overload, inhalers on hand, and Visine in our satchels, it’s also time to shed those chunky sweaters and turtlenecks and trade them in for light layers and loafers. Understandably so, springtime is one of the best times of the year and to really indulge in the important things in life such as patio brunches and wine festivals. But dressing for this time of year can also be a real bitch. Recently mens designers have been doing a stellar job at making durable outer wear less bulky and more tailored. If you think corduroy pants and long trench coats are for old geezers, think again. When I think style, I think function and this pairing of cranberry cords, and this cement trench in TODAY’s FIT gives me everything I need to combat the inevitable April showers. Do you own a pair of cords or a trench coat. If so, do you find yourself wearing it a lot?
- Cords are now offered in a variety of colors, be creative!
- Search long and hard for a well fitting Trench Coat, but remember to leave room for the layers.
- Don’t give up on your boots yet, you may still need them for rainy days.
- Don’t forget your umbrella!
