Hong Kong Hustle

Although I’ve been a style blogger for a few years...

Although I’ve been a style blogger for a few years now, I never really familiarized myself with suits. Back in Canada I worked as a web developer, so there was never a need for a fancy dress code. Recently I just started a new job that requires a corporate dress code, and so I was forced to master the art of the suit. I only brought one full suit to Hong Kong with me, so lately I’ve been putting all my attention into shopping for work clothes. I’ve been doing a lot of reading about suiting and how to find the right fit. I hope to share all my findings in a blog post soon!

Suits can get a little boring sometimes, especially when everyone in the office is wearing one. I like to express myself by choosing tie that’s a bit funner. I purchased this red striped tie from Express  ages ago, but I’ve never worn it until now. I just love how a red tie pairs with a navy suit. For fun ties like this one, I’m also really digging the selections from Band of Outsiders tie and Drake’s.

I got this Jack Spade Canvas Briefcase a few weeks ago and I’ve been using it non-stop. It’s a very versatile bag with an amazing capacity. There have been a few times that I used it to carry my laptop and DSLR camera around town. So far this bag is only available in black, but if it ever comes in another colour, I’d be happy to buy one more.

Walking around a big city in a suit – this is my life on weekdays now! That Hong Kong Hustle starts now.

I’m wearing:

Blazer : Zara | Pants : Vince | Shirt : COS | Shoes : Zara | Bag : Jack Spade (c/o) | Tie : Express
