Commemorating 100 years of Salvatore Ferrgamo’s migration to the US, the eponymous brand unveils a new project entitled, A Man’s Story, featuring a series of testimonies by some of today’s most stylishly eclectic rule-breakers. In the short film and photography series, the likes of Harlem-born rapper, A$AP Rocky, actor Douglas Booth, New York Rangers legend, Henrik Lundqvist and several others are among the gents to share their stories of following their beliefs and making their own rules. The concept was a partnership between Ferragamo’s Creative Director, Massimiliano Giornetti, and award winning photographer/filmmaker, Francesco Carrozzin.
“For a man to have a vision and the courage of his convictions is both noble and timeless, as relevant today as it was a century ago when Salvatore Ferragamo went out on a limb to launch his shoe-making business,” says Ferragamo’s Creative Director Massimiliano Giornetti. “Had he not have taken that risk, this brand that continues to grow and attract new generations may never have existed.”.
We were definitely moved by the message as a young rule-breakers ourselves. Check out some photographs from the series here and let us know your thoughts. You can see more and shop the stories at Ferragamo.com.
