Early last year at the PROJECT Tradeshow, we came across a remarkable denim brand from Japan called FDMTL aka Fundamental Luxury Agreement. The brand was founded by Gaku Tsuyoshi and his extremely detailed denim is all manufactured in Okayama. The two areas FDMTL excels in are: Patchwork and Distressed denim. The attention to detail here is really something to gawk at, and it's immediately apparent that the designer is totally focused on immaculate quality over mindless quantity.
For Fall 2015, FDMTL expands its horizons with well-conceived outerwear, perfectly worn-in denim jackets and vintage patchwork shirting. There are no missteps here and we are truly expecting some big things from this promising brand in the near future.
