Who would have thought that contradictory elements would come together to create a stunning collection? Well, Stefano Pilati, the genius behind Ermenegildo Zegna’s SS15 collection is the answer! Straying away from the previous two collections, Pilati, drew inspirations from Architecture and Space; from there he develops the two even further.
“Innovations and destructions; splendour and decadence, philosophy and romanticism, masculine and feminine are the sources to develop this new chapter: architecture vs space like textures vs surfaces.”
Truly Pilati knows how to create a masterpiece of a collection, from the runway the different styles of clothes transition fluently from one to the next one. The silhouette is mainly fitted and slightly loose but still flattering at the same time. Lush fabrics such as cashmere, silk-wool, silk-linen-wool combination are used to enhance the design and cut.
