Stefano Pilati, Head of Design at Ermenegildo Zegna launched the AW14 Ermenegildo Zegna Couture on October 2 – to celebrate the release of the collection, the entire front windows series of Harrods department store will be taken over by Ermenegildo Zegna Couture starting on October 2nd until October 19th. The Autumn Winter 2014 collection explores the futuristic and astronomical elements that give identity to this collection. Flattering silhouettes and aesthetically pleasing design takes luxury to a whole new level.
To showcase the collection a little bit better, a astronomical film was created by astrophysicist Fiorella Terenzi and Professor Neil deGrasse Tyson in collaboration with Stefano Pilati. This film also served as the backdrop during the AW14 runway show. The sound in the film was captured radio waves converted to sound and transformed into music with a classical blend.
Aside from the main collection, Pilati also created an exclusive shoes and bags collection that will compliment every single piece from the main collection. This also serves as Pilati’s first ‘house bag’ in which only the best materials were used. The Couture Bag is constructed in three posh leathers and five vibrant colors. The Double Monk Shoes are given the classic and iconic treatment as well as an additional element which is Stefano Pilati’s hand-stitched signature the ‘XXX’. Ermenegildo Zegna Coutre AW14 collection is now available at Harrods and in-stores.
