Christopher Kane launched his Spring Summer 2015 collection at this year’s London Collections: Men event. The new collection takes inspiration from his previous collection and from there he improves everything to create a masterpiece of a collection.
For spring summer 2015, it’s all about graphics without sacrificing the structure of the clothes. Bold patterns and prints are often used to create a contrasting look that somehow work together when paired together. Apart from the visually stunning colours and graphics, Kane also focuses on details and tailorings––precision cutting is used to create form flattering silhouettes.
“Fabric experimentation continues in the collection, with the natural contrasted against the artificial. New matte washes feature on jeans in the collection, with a concentration on a new cut. Textured wool jacquards run through suiting and outerwear, with ultra- fine cashmere-cotton knits and light summer silk shirting. Reflective techno fabric is used in coats, while new bonded prints with metallic foils are found as a recurring motif on sweaters.”
Men definitely have something to celebrate from this collection because Kane also introduces a full line of leather goods in the form of jacket and bag. The bag features a simple graphic design with a ‘safety buckle’ fastening, originated from Christopher Kane’s first collection. For more images, head over to my blog by clicking HERE
