Black is the color of 2013/every year in fashion ever, so you’d have to assume that any wise street brand kinda have to feature a black statement piece. It’d be foolish not to, right? BBC and Pharrell think it’d be foolish not to do an entire line, so the brand brought in Mark McNairy to design a tech called, quite simply, BBC Black.
Outerwear, cuffed pants, elongated tees, tailored sport jackets, and even baseball jerseys make up Black.
The story is, after working on other pieces (presumably for Bee, his other line with Billionaire Boys Club), McNairy stumbled upon a black fabric roll normally normally used for military-issue clothing. After looking into it a little further, the collaborators decided to use it on an entire line.
The all-black-everything life has slowly crept out from the Jay-Zs and Kanye Wests of the world, but it makes sense. It’s the ultimate contrasting color. Add any other shade to black and it immediately stands out, and it’s easy. Black always matches with everything.
Expect the line to be available this Fall 2013, but for now head over to BBC and check out the latest.
