Made In China.
Most of my clothes say this. In fact, most of the things I’ve bought in the past several years I purchased because of cost, not quality. For this very reason a lot of people asked me if I cared about where things were made —- and for a long time I didn’t. I bought fast fashion for everything.
And then those things started falling apart (literally).
While I didn’t make a huge investment overall in my wardrobe, I realized I was flushing money down the toilet. Now I make sure to buy fast fashion items I know I am only going to use for a short period of time. I don’t mind where undershirts, socks, and other basics are manufactured.
But when it comes to shoes —- I really care.
Not only do your shoes directly impact your comfort, but they are usually the first things that someone notices about you. With Allen Edmonds not only do I know I look great, but I also know the shoes will last for years and years. The company itself was founded in 1922 —- so they know how to make a shoe, take care of a customer, and make sure you look good. Plus their shoes are beautiful.
We had a giveaway with Allen Edmonds that ended last week —- The winner was Till Walter. I hope he enjoys these shoes as much as I do!
Here is a little throwback with me wearing my Franciscan Monk Straps from my brothers wedding a couple weeks ago.
