Quite possibly one of the few style-outs from the Spring 2016 European menswear shows that continues to permeate my brain is AMI’s fusion of exceptional tailoring with traditionally sporty elements. So, as to let it breathe good old NYC fresh air, I’m giving it a go with this look many months before spring -- cheating a bit per se -- as I find it incredibly functional (not to mention warm) for fall. Take a track jacket, something I’ve had in my closet since high school and been using majorly for walks to and from the gym since, tuck it into your jeans (wha?!), and throw a blazer over it. Of course, wear a tee beneath unless you like that top commando thing you see going down runways (no passing judgements here). I’ve always been a big sweater-beneath-blazer fan, but ironically enough, I find that a structured track jacket slightly elevates a blazer look with modern proportions -- a little pizzazz (cue jazz hands) to that dinner outfit. Who’da-thought?
Side note: if you're looking for slick pair of denim that won't make your credit cards cry mercy, give DSTLD a go. I discovered this LA-based brand a while ago and it's easily my new go-to for incredibly affordable ($65 jeans?!) and durable essentials. True to size, they also look and feel great... but that's besides the point since, well, duh!, we're here already working them into one of my favorite fall outfits to date.

Style Guide: Spring Edition
By Vincent Ko
Summer is fast approaching and that means it’s time to put your coat and jacket back into your closet. Even though spring is still a little chilly, the weather is improving in the next few weeks to the point where you don’t have to wear jacket anymore.
