A Look at Miami's New 1 Hotel South Beach

It's eco-friendly, beautifully designed, and helmed by James Beard award winner Tom Colicchio. What's not to love?

Spectacularly designed by New York-based firm Meyer Davis Studio in conjunction with NGNY’s Nikola Gradinski (Pool Rooftop), the space presents a transformation of a sprawling 1970s oceanfront condo building right on the beach. “It’s an eco-friendly hotel that celebrates natural materials,” says designer Will Meyer. Exquisitely weathered-wood accessories, concrete floors, and crisp-white linen upholstery make up a chill but elitesque vibe.

The firm, who we've become fans of almost instantly as we set foot in the lobby, also worked on the property’s very-airy seafood-inspired restaurant Beachcraft, spearheaded by five-time James Beard award winner and author of three cookbooks, chef Tom Colicchio. That's right, the "bald judge" on Bravo's acclaimed Top Chef series.
